FARM FRESH BERHAD stands as one of Malaysia’s most inspiring homegrown brands — a company that redefined the nation’s dairy industry through freshness, authenticity, and agricultural vision.
Founded in 2009, the company has grown into one of Malaysia’s leading dairy producers, supplying fresh milk, yoghurt, cultured dairy products, and plant-based beverages across the country while steadily expanding into regional markets. Through its farm-to-table philosophy and vertically integrated operations, Farm Fresh transformed local perceptions of dairy — proving that high-quality fresh milk could be produced sustainably within Malaysia itself.
Today, the company is recognised not merely as a dairy brand, but as a symbol of modern agricultural entrepreneurship — reshaping the nation’s food ecosystem while strengthening local farming capabilities and reducing reliance on imported dairy products.
Its journey reflects a powerful truth — that vision rooted in the land can transform an entire industry.

The leadership continues to guide the company with a vision of building a sustainable dairy ecosystem rooted in quality, transparency, innovation, and local agricultural development.
Some companies are built in factories — Farm Fresh was built on a farm.
The story began with an unexpected decision. After spending more than two decades building a successful corporate career, founder Loi Tuan Ee chose to walk away from a stable and high-paying profession to pursue something far more uncertain — agriculture.
At the time, Malaysia’s dairy market depended heavily on imported milk powder, with much of the milk available locally being reconstituted rather than genuinely fresh. Loi believed there was an opportunity to change this. More importantly, he believed Malaysians deserved access to truly fresh dairy products produced locally.
In 2009, armed with conviction rather than industry advantage, he purchased farmland in Johor and imported just 60 dairy cows from Australia. It was a modest beginning, but one driven by a long-term vision: to create a fully integrated dairy ecosystem capable of producing fresh milk directly from Malaysian farms.
The early years were difficult. Dairy farming in Malaysia faced numerous challenges — tropical climate conditions, limited agricultural infrastructure, financing difficulties, and a market unfamiliar with locally produced fresh milk. Building the business required far more than farming alone. The company had to establish processing facilities, cold-chain logistics, distribution systems, and retail relationships almost entirely from scratch.
But the belief behind the business remained simple and unwavering: if consumers could taste genuinely fresh milk, they would recognise the difference immediately.
Gradually, that belief proved correct. Demand began growing steadily as consumers embraced the freshness, taste, and authenticity of locally produced milk. Farms expanded. Herd sizes increased from dozens to thousands of cows. Production scaled rapidly, allowing Farm Fresh to move from a small agricultural operation into a nationally recognised consumer brand.
What distinguished Farm Fresh was its “grass-to-glass” philosophy — controlling the entire process from farming and feeding to processing, packaging, and distribution. This vertical integration allowed the company to maintain product quality while building strong consumer trust around freshness and transparency.
Over time, the Group diversified beyond milk into yoghurt, cultured dairy products, and plant-based beverages, reflecting changing consumer lifestyles and nutritional preferences. Expansion into international dairy operations and regional markets further strengthened its position as one of Southeast Asia’s emerging dairy leaders.
From a small farm in Johor to a Bursa Malaysia-listed company, Farm Fresh’s journey reflects a powerful truth — that sometimes the boldest act of entrepreneurship is not moving away from the land, but returning to it with a new vision for the future.
